Keep doing your actual job, just somewhere else. Two weeks in Puglia with protected workdays, slow mornings, and people from all over the world who weren't already in your Slack sidebar.

01What is Slowlit

Two work weeks in a small village, sharing in local life.

Remote work gives you freedom, but not always people. Slowlit adds a shared rhythm around the work you already do.

  1. Focused workdays

Your deadlines and calls are welcome. A shared workspace lets you focus all day, next to people from outside your company.

  2. Everyday life, shared

Coffee breaks, lunch, and the walk home matter as much as the work. Small rituals feel new in a new place, especially together.

  3. Bring something of yours

Share a skill, an interest, or a quirky obsession. No slides needed, and you might find you're not the only one.

03First edition

Puglia, near Bari, outside peak season.

Two weeks in one place: enough time to actually get to know it.

  • Off-season, on purpose

We come in late October, when village life sets the pace instead of summer crowds.

  • A base shaped by the group

We choose where to live and work once we know the group: a coworking space with common areas, balancing quality and price. The exact location is still being confirmed.

  • Beyond the main sights

Shared meals, local activities, and slow weekends. A place to live in for a while, not a checklist of attractions.

The two weeks at a glance

  1. 1

    Arrival

    Settle in

We arrive, get our bearings, and share a first meal. No big ceremonies.

  2. 2

    Weekdays

    Work comes first

Monday to Friday, the day is yours. Group plans fit around your work.

  3. 3

    Weekends

    Explore the area

Longer trips to the coast and countryside, with room to rest or go your own way.

  4. 4

    Your stay

    One week or two

Two weeks gives everyone time to settle in. For the first edition, you can join for one week or both.

04The rhythm

A pace that leaves room to breathe.

Work is protected, shared moments are optional, and rest is part of the plan.

Before work

A slow start

A walk, yoga, coffee, or a lie-in. Nobody's taking attendance.

05How it works

What's included, and what's still taking shape.

The fee covers lodging, the coworking space, and the three main activities. We'll share the full program and price with the interest list as soon as they're confirmed. Everything else is optional, with costs shared openly.

Living

Accommodation that fits

  • Arranged around the group's size and preferences
  • A specific proposal if you join for both weeks
  • The best value we can find, because Italy can be expensive

Working

A proper workspace

  • A fully equipped shared workspace
  • Full workdays, Monday to Friday
  • Nonstop internet (and coffee)

Sharing

Open plans, clear costs

  • Spontaneous lunches, toasts, and skill-sharing sessions
  • Shared expenses split via Splitwise or similar
  • Every activity is open to join

Activities can change with the weather, local availability, and what the group needs.

06FAQ

Good questions, clear answers.

Anything else? Write to us at hello@slowlit.it.

Who is Slowlit for?Toggle answer

People who can work remotely and want to do so alongside new people. You might be an employee, a designer, an engineer, a writer, a digitally unemployed person, or someone working on their own project. You don't have to call yourself a digital nomad to be one.

How long is Slowlit?Toggle answer

We offer a two-week program to give the group enough time to settle in, share moments of daily life, and explore the area at a leisurely pace. For the first edition, you can join for one week or the full two, based on the time you have available and what feels right for you.

How much time is protected for work?Toggle answer

We expect you to work on weekdays from Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For this reason, the activities we offer are mainly scheduled before work, after work, and on weekends, but you're completely free to decide for yourself: if your job keeps you at work longer or requires you to start earlier, you can participate when you're ready or skip the session.

Do I have to join every activity?Toggle answer

No. The scheduled activities are simply invitations, and the program itself includes free time to devote to work, rest, and spontaneous ideas. However, we ask anyone who decides to participate in an activity to be as punctual as possible and to let us know about any schedule changes so we can adjust the program if necessary: to be flexible, we need to stay informed!

What does skill sharing involve?Toggle answer

Skill sharing is a session focused on something informal that you can teach, demonstrate, or explore further with the group. It doesn't have to be related to your job, nor is it a networking presentation or a well-prepared talk for any conference. That's why we ask everyone to approach the group with an open mind and to share a skill or interest during their time here.

What do you organize?Toggle answer

At Slowlit, we help you with the practical details: we provide a functional workspace and assist you with transportation, reservations, and choosing accommodations. Thanks to our network of local contacts, we also organize a flexible, group-based program of cultural activities tied to local traditions and excursions to discover the area's natural wonders. Our goal is to make your experience simple and convenient, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of the area!

How will the practical costs work?Toggle answer

The participation fee covers lodging, coworking space, and three main activities. Other optional activities and shared plans will come with transparent details and costs, and shared expenses can be split via Splitwise or a similar platform. Travel to and from Italy is separate, while communal lunches will happen spontaneously rather than as a daily included meal.

What happens after I join the interest list?Toggle answer

Signing up for the interest list does not require a commitment or deposit. We'll contact you first to learn about your preferences or specific needs, then send the practical details, including pricing. If it still feels right, you can fill out a separate short registration form. Joining the interest list does not guarantee a place or confirm a purchase.
